Student Skill Level Guide
Advanced movement artists have participated in more than 3 years of dancing/movement and are continuing to refine their skills. In this Monday class, students enjoy a progressive, uplifting, challenging, and fun-filled, dance, aerial silks and gymnastics program! They have learned foundation dance skills and technique already. Students in this class are strong enough to complete level 1 and two aerial silks choreography, have performed confidently onstage at least six times and are ready to advance these skills.
Intermediate movement artists are typically in their 2nd year of dance/movement (already danced for 2 semesters). This is when dancers tend to start learning more figures and begin to piece together longer routines for dancing. Students attending this class have an understanding of rhythmically, musicality, spacial awareness, fine and gross motor skills, creativity, listening skills. strength, flexibility, and memorization, and coordination.
Beginners are dancers who have no prior experience or less than 2 academic semester of dancing. In this class students learn foundation movement skills through improv, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, tumbling, modern dance, gymnastics, and dancing with props such as wands, veils, fans, staff, poi balls, crowns, and dress up! We utilize a wonderful dance curriculum and provide skill level and age-appropriate lessons so students easily develop musicality, creativity, body awareness, listening skills, strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Our Performance Team is designed for students that love dance and have taken their aerial silks artistry to the next level, and would like more opportunities to do what they love. These students attend all the school recitals, one local island competition each year, and perform at local community events and parades. They work hard throughout the school year in classes and rehearsals to learn dynamic and entertaining choreography. We love watching out dancers grow as performers throughout the season!
Community service is another element of our Performance Team. We want our team members to be great dancers and positive members of the community. Our dancers participate in community service projects like Feed My Starving Children and The Big Serve.
